My primary approach is Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). Developed in the 1980s by Dr. Sue Johnson, emotionally focused therapists have studied and proven that fulfilling relationships are essential to overall wellbeing. Read more about EFT here. In addition to training and certification in EFT, I have training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and mediation, and I will adapt our therapeutic process to fit your unique needs.
"The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change"
- Carl Jung
I work with adults and adolescents, particularly those struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, or relationship challenges.
Ever since writing my Masters thesis on parent/teen relationships, I've had a keen passion for working with families, particularly parents and their adult children.
You or your partner may be hesitant to come to counselling, but deeply yearning for a more fulfilling relationship. Outcome research on Emotionally Focused Therapy has proven that it is an effective approach for working with couples.
I offer supervision for provisional psychologists looking for an external supervisor with experience in working with adults and adolescents, couples, and families.
